Oh, To Life!

Oh! burdened doth my soul seem,
Oh! for the pleasures in this life I scream.

Oh! give me peace and light to feed,
my soul it is in need.

Oh! for love I do grieve,
Oh! if this life doth hold indeed?

Oh! grant me that It might lead
my soul to breathe.

Oh! when my soul the bridge of death doth cross,
Oh! let my life reflect the cross.

Oh! want no more the peace I sought
My soul it has been bought.
